Unfunded Proposals
  *A-02-020/I-02-004 $63,196.00  $-0-    Proposal title: GSAMS Improvements
Submitted by: Scarboro, Center for Instructional Technology
Remarks: TFERT questioned whether those who benefit from GSAMS pay tech fees. TFERT also thought that GSAMS students are a small number of students, so this would not be good use of tech fee funds.
S-02-009 $11,355.00 $-0-   Proposal title: Pilot Study of Necessity for a Student Assistant for the Graphics Laboratory (J-212)
Submitted by: Williams and Rainey, Humanities and Technical Communications
Remarks: TFERT believes that this proposal replaces current resources. (Montrell has identified himself in the past as a paid lab assistant in this lab.)
A-02-015 $11,000.00 $-0-   Proposal title: Pilot Study to Determine Necessity for a Laboratory Assistant for the Sound and Video Editing Studios
Submitted by: Rainey and Scarboro, Center for Instructional Technology
A-02-018 $3,022.90 $-0-   Proposal title: Films for World Language Classes
Submitted by: Nuhfer-Halten, Social and International Studies
Remarks: TFERT felt that only a small number of students would have access to the films and suggested that a library exchange program could be used instead of using tech fee funds.
*A-02-019 $57,579.00 $-0-   Proposal title: Expand and Upgrade ATET Laboratories
Submitted by: Thomas, Apparel and Textile Engineering Technology
Remarks: TFERT noted that BOR guidelines recommend that tech fee funds should not be used for research equipment. TFERT also felt that only a small number of students would benefit by funding the proposal. TFERT suggests that industry funding might be a better source for this proposal.
