Prerequisite:  Math 2254 & Math 3310, or permission of the instructor

The structure of the real number system  line from a topological and analytical
point of view.  Topics include the continuous nature of the real line, open and closed sets,
sequences and formal convergence, compactness, topics related to functions of a real variable.
